Lodge 7.5 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. XL Red Enamel Dutch Oven (Island Spice Red) – EC7D43

Last update was on: Friday, August 7, 2020

Size:7.5 qt |  Color:Red

Lodge Color Porcelain Enamel on Cast Iron cookware is cast from molten iron in individual sand molds. The porcelain surface eliminates the need to season cast iron. This 7.8-Quart Enamel Dutch oven is great for cooking, marinating, refrigeration and freezing. The color porcelain enamel on cast iron can be used on gas, electric, ceramic and induction cooktops, as well as in the oven. Not recommended for use on outdoor grills or over open outdoor flames. Not for use in microwaves. The cast iron vessel has superior heat distribution and retention, evenly heating bottom sidewalls and even the lid. Tightly fitting lid seals in moisture. The excellent heat retention reduces the amount of energy needed for cooking. Two layers of very hard, glossy porcelain enamel are chip resistant and easy to clean. Lid knob is oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. The black rim on the pot is matte porcelain, not exposed cast iron. Hygienic porcelain enamel is non-reactive with food. Although dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended to preserve the cookware’s original appearance. 12″ diameter, 4 3/4″ deep. Island Spice. Imported.

Crisbee Stik Cast Iron Seasoning – Family Made in USA – The Cast Iron Seasoning Oil & Conditioner Preferred by the Experts – Maintain a Cleaner Non-Stick Skillet

Last update was on: Friday, August 7, 2020

Cast Iron Seasoning by Crisbee – The Cast Iron Seasoning Oil & Conditioner Preferred by the Experts – Plant Based Oils With BeeswaxFamily made in the U.S.A.

Maintain a cleaner non-stick skillet.

Very cost effective! One Stik will treat a 10 inch skillet over 60 times when used as directed. Most cast iron seasoning oil products require 1/2 ounce (1 tbsp) per application. This means an 8 ounce bottle equals only 16 applications. Compare and save!

Also works excellent on carbon steel cookware, griddle cooktops, wood cutting boards, wooden utensils, wood knife handles, & gun stocks.

Our products will not turn rancid unlike vegetable shortening, flaxseed oil, coconut oil, or canola oil.

Will help to develop a beautiful finish on all cast iron cookware.

For tough to reach areas, melt a small amount and spread with a pastry or BBQ brush.

Bonds to cast iron. Will not become a brittle surface and flake off like many experience using flaxseed oil.

“I’ve had them on display for a few years and have been using (another cast iron oil) on them to keep the rust off. I never got the deep black that they should of had, but then I was introduced to Crisbee Stik. I will never use anything else on these pieces. The protection they have now is unlike any other. These will be handed down to my daughter when she is old enough and they will be just as good looking as they are now. THANK YOU Crisbee for protecting these family heirlooms.” By Jared M.

“A great online friend told me about this product. The friend owns and has restored hundreds of cast iron cookware pieces. He’s considered a leading expert on cast iron cookware use, maintenance and proper restoration. I started using Crisbee based on his experience. I will never use any other product.” By Amazon User Fitzie63

Seasoned and ready to use. 16-3/16″ x 9-7/16″ x 1/2″

The following use and care instructions for Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron will help your cookware last a lifetime.

If you do Nothing Else…

Hand wash. Dry immediately—even before first use.

Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.

How much oil? Enough to restore the sheen, without being “sticky”.

Why? To keep the iron “seasoned” and protected from moisture.

Seasoning—It isn’t Salt and Pepper

“Seasoning” is vegetable oil baked onto the iron at a high temperature: not a chemical non-stick coating.

Seasoning creates the natural, easy-release properties. The more you cook, the better it gets.

Because you create, maintain, and even repair the “seasoning”, your cookware can last 100 years or more. Chemical non-stick coating cannot be repaired, limiting lifespan.

Let’s Cook!

Lodge Cast Iron is right at home on induction, ceramic, electric and gas cooktops, in your oven, on the grill, or even over the campfire. Do not use in the microwave.

On glass or ceramic cooktops, lift cookware; never slide it.

Our cookware is safe at high temperatures; use metal, wood, or hi-temp silicone utensils.

Some foods may stick to new cookware (especially eggs). Use a little extra oil or butter until you’ve built up the seasoning.

Acidic foods like tomatoes, beans, and certain sauces can damage seasoning, and should be avoided until the seasoning is well-established.

Cast Iron rarely needs to go above a medium heat setting when properly pre-heated. For the times when you do cook at higher temperatures, bring the pan to temperature gradually and add oil to just before adding food to prevent sticking.

Our handles get hot; use mitts. Use trivets to protect countertops from hot cookware.

To Soap or not to Soap…

If no soap is too scary, wash with mild soapy water and dry and oil immediately. However, consider that cookware is 400ºF in 4 minutes on medium heat and is sterile at 212º F, so soap isn’t always necessary.

Dishwashers, strong detergents and metal scouring pads are not recommended, as they remove seasoning.

Rust?! Don’t Panic, it’s not Broken

Without protective seasoning iron can rust.

It’s really easy to fix. Scour the rust, rinse, dry, and rub with a little vegetable oil.

If problem persists, you will need to thoroughly remove all rust and follow our re-seasoning instructions (below).

Refurbish Your Finish

While maintaining the seasoning should keep your Cast Iron and Carbon Steel in good condition, at some point you may need to re-season your cookware. If food sticks to the surface, or you notice a dull, gray color, repeat the seasoning process:

* Wash the cookware with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. (It is okay to use soap this time because you are preparing to re-season the cookware).

* Rinse and dry completely.

* Apply a very thin, even coating of MELTED solid vegetable shortening (or cooking oil of your choice) to the cookware inside and out. Too much oil will result in a sticky finish.

* Place aluminum foil on the bottom rack of the oven (not directly on bottom) to catch any drips.

* Set oven temperature to 350 – 400 degrees F.

* Place cookware upside down on the top rack of the oven to prevent pooling.

* Bake the cookware for at least one hour. After the hour, turn the oven off and let the cookware cool in the oven.

* Store the cookware uncovered, in a dry place when cooled.

* Repeat as necessary.

Some Basics

Gas flames should not extend up the sides of cookware.

Match pan size to burner size.

Don’t use in the microwave.

When deep frying, fill cookware only to 1/3 of capacity.

Last update was on: Friday, August 7, 2020

Size:12″ |  Color:Black

Introducing the one of a kind MasterPan Stovetop Oven Grill Pan. The only pan that has the features of an oven but can be used on a stovetop. Instead of waiting to heat up your oven and then baking your food for lengthy periods of time, use our stovetop oven to cook frozen foods and other foods you would put in the oven. Key Features of the Lid: * Stainless steel for longer lasting * Steam releasing, heat trapping lid has over 5000 laser etched holes that act as a splatter guard preventing hot oil splashing out, retain heat on the inside but releasing steam at the same time to avoid condensation on the inside. Creates the perfect oven-like feeling on the inside keeping fried food hot and crispy. * Silicone ring guard for stability and heat retention. Easily removable for proper cleaning. * Lid can be used as a splatter guard for any other pot or pan between 8-12” as well. Works great for frozen foods without having to heat up a big oven just for frozen fish fingers or burgers. Ideal in re-creating an oven environment on camping trips and smaller homes with no ovens. 2 colors to choose from Problem – a conventional lid will trap heat but also keep moisture in, The steam really only has 1 small hole to escape from. This will result in food staying wet and moist and water vapor collecting at the bottom of your lid slowly dripping back into the pan. Solution – Our patented lid was designed to solve this problem, specially designed with over 5000 perfectly sized laser etched holes that release all the vapor and yet still retains the heat in. This results in food cooking in pure heat so allowing it to grill and steam at the same time. Perfect for grilling Meats and fish, baking Frozen pizza or reheating pizza, fabulous grill cheese sandwiches, Frozen foods, Sautéing, grilling steaks, warming tortillas, and the list just goes on and on. We tested the steam release by placing frozen veggies inside and WOW! All the water vapor was released, and the veggies cooked perfectly. We did the same for other frozen foods like Fish Fingers. Not just your everyday grill pan with a lid.
