This powerful system purifies both treated water and untreated raw water from such sources as remote lakes, streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries, where regulations may be substandard at best. The Royal Berkey system removes pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes. Noted:
1. This is a semi-submersible filter. Always Keeps water level higher than the filter media chamber.
2. Water will be not clear right away, you need to wait for 1-2 days until all the impurities be filtered out.
3. Before take out the media chamber, you should swivel the flow control knob to 90 degree.
4. Use blade or something sharp to lever up carbon chamber to replace media.
5. Take out the whole media chamber and rinse it thorough with clean water before put into aquarium.
